Macaroni Puttanesca is full of anchovies, garlic, tomatoes and chilli; a perfect combination and east to prepare with nothing more than some everyday items you probably have in your pantry already.

WHAT YOU'll NEED

    g PREGO® Macaroni, cooked & drained

  • 2

    cans/1 jar PREGO® Traditional Pasta Sauce

  • 1

    red pepper, diced

  • Handful of cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 4

    tbsp olive oil

  • 6

    cloves of garlic, sliced

  • A few fillets of anchovies

  • Handful of fresh Basil, sliced

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • HOW TO MAKE IT

    • 1

      Sauté garlic in olive oil until soft, add sliced peppers and cook for 2 minutes, and anchovies and let it cook for 2 minutes.

      Add PREGO® Traditional pasta sauce into the pan and stir. Season with salt and pepper. Add cherry tomatoes and simmer sauce for 4-5 minutes.

      Finish sauce with sliced fresh basil leaves. Serve sauce over the cooked macaroni.

RECIPE TIPS

Alternate Preparation: For baked macaroni, heat the oven to 400°F.  Stir all ingredients in an 8x8x2-inch baking dish.  Bake for 20 minutes or until the mixture is hot and bubbling.
